Pace Like Fire, the UWI and CWI Cricket Talent Search

Pace Like Fire, a University of the West Indies (UWI) and Cricket West Indies (CWI) initiative began on Friday August 17th at the Darren Sammy Cricket Ground.
One of the aims of this venture was to pinpoint the fastest and best male and female bowlers within the region. These persons range from ages sixteen (16) to twenty-two (22).
Following the selection of the best fast bowlers, they will be placed in a UWI Program to further enhance their talent.
Daren Ganga, former West Indies batsman, along with St. Lucian coaches Bryan Calixte, Keith Charlery and Alton Crafton made the selections for the St Lucian part of the program. Dillon John and Daniel Jn. Baptiste were the day’s fastest deliverers.
On Saturday 18th August, a similar exercise was held at the Phillip Marcellin Grounds in Vieux Fort.
